THE CHALLENGE
The Amatruda family has been producing paper for several centuries. The proof is the ancient filigree mark with the wording “Amatrulo” in the lower part of the symbol, which includes three Angevin lilies. This shows that the Amatruda family already produced paper during the domination of the Angevins in the "Kingdom of the Two Sicilies" (1282-1442).
OUR INTERVENTION
Amatruda production complies with the "requirements for maximum permanence and durability over time" (UNI 10332) and is worked according to the old artisan tradition. Each sheet is individually produced with natural fringes on all its sides, maintaining the imprint of the wool felts. Soft to the touch and has a clarity of texture that ensures a high level of quality.
